During the month of September and into early October, we discussed the theme: “Run Back to Church.” As part of that theme, we asked you to donate gym shoes for children in Albany's South End community. 

On Sunday October 14th 2018, we welcomed Leslie Phalen of the  South End Community Outreach Center to speak with us about some of the programs and services being provided for those in need in the South End. Leslie's discussion featured themes of compassion and cooperation in working together to help others reach their full potential, no matter their circumstances. At the close of the service, First Congregational was pleased to present Leslie with the shoes we've collected during this campaign. 

Your generosity will help to ensure that children in the South End have the resources necessary to remain active and vital in our city. We look forward to making this initiative an annual tradition in our church.
